Summary of the 28th Gameday of ISHF Liga Pro Electrostal Open 2021

In the evening half of the twenty-eighth game day of the ISHF LIGA PRO ELECTROSTAL OPEN 2021 there was no clear favourite among the four teams. The team from Mogilev stood out the most, but even that factor did not give the team from Belarus a big handicap.

Ferrum continued their streak without wins. Even competent goalkeeping on the goal line did not save the team, as the team from Latvia scored less than their opponents at any rate. The team was close to defeating Almaty, but gave up a 5-1 lead within two minutes.

Today, Almaty beat not only Ferrum, but also managed to take points from Kuznas, preventing the team from climbing to 4th place in the table. An unexpected injury to team captain Aleksandr Nesterov could spoil the team’s plans for a positive result in the remaining games, but we’d like to hope the injury wasn’t serious.

Chetyre Ledokola probably didn’t squeeze the maximum out of themselves, jumping up to 7th line in the table. The team continue to climb higher and higher, coming within 8 points of 6th place. Such a solid run should baffle potential playoff opponents, as the team could pull off a number of surprises. The evening was overshadowed by a resounding 2-6 defeat at the hands of Kuznya in the last game of the day.

The funniest team of the evening was Kuznya, who started with a 2-6 defeat and finished with a 6-2 victory. In between these matches was a 4-1 win over Ferrum. Their chances of making the top three were slim, but they were well placed for a play-off spot.

The results of the evening half of the twenty-eighth game day of the ISHF LIGA PRO ELECTROSTAL OPEN 2021:

Ferrum – Chetyre Ledokola 2:5
Kuznya – Almaty 2:6
Almaty v Chetyre Ledokola 3:5
Kuznya – Ferrum 4:1
Ferrum – Almaty 7:8
Chetyre Ledokola – Kuznya 2:6

On April 29 the Molotoboytsy and Armeets return to ice battles. Now it’s the turn of the Balashikha team, in the absence of the other two leaders Belsk and Crystal, to take their points and once again pull away from their pursuers.
The opening match of this game day will be a battle between Ledianye Voiny and Uralets, which, logically, should be won by hockey players from the black and white team. Ferrum and Almaty take part in the same game session. In the evening session, the only team to hold firmly at the top of the standings will be Armeets. Everyone is expecting three wins from the team and a quiet road to the gold medals.
