Summary of the second half of the 6th Gameday of ISHF LIGA PRO ELECTROSTAL OPEN 2021.

The evening half of the sixth game day of the ISHF LIGA PRO ELECTROSTAL OPEN 2021 started with a big loss for Ferrum from Mogilev Kuznya with a score of 2:13 (1:6 in the first period) – this is the 4th match at the tournament (out of 15) in which the Latvian team concedes ten or more goals. But further on, Ferrum literally had a new lease of life: They almost managed to comeback against Belsk and then, in a series of penalty shots, defeated the Chetyre Ledokola. It’s hard not to notice the team’s positive momentum, they started conceding less, if we forget the match with Kuznya, and managed to get their second win of the tournament, which is important – not over a team from Almaty.

The only team that made it through the evening part of Day 6 of the ISHF LIGA PRO ELECTROSTAL OPEN 2021 evenly was, and not surprisingly, Mogilev Kuznya, who defeated Ferrum, defeated Chetyre Ledokola without any problems, and then did not conceded at all from their compatriots from Minsk. According to these results, the team from Mogilev regained second place in the standings (6 points behind the leader), pushing down two Russian teams.

The team’s goaltender stands out brightly – Nikita Sandyrev, who became the first hero of the interview format at the tournament in Electrostal.

The Minsk team failed to prove themselves properly today, beating only Ferrum, and that not without difficulties, which the team created for themselves. The lack of goals in the final match speaks volumes.

The evil genius for the Minsk team, to the surprise of many, is the Chetyre Ledokola, who achieve their second win in the head-to-head games between these teams. But for this team too, one win today is the only reason for consolation, as the rest of the team is still faltering and unable to find a connection between the players. In addition to Vasily Doronin, another leader is starting to emerge on the team, and that, as in the case of Kuznya, is also goalkeeper Artur Khaniarov, who has managed to ingratiate himself with many short hockey fans with his inspired game in the goal frame. But despite having such highly skilled players, the team continues to hand the games to their opponents, most often in a series of penalty shootouts.

The results of the evening half of the sixth matchday of the ISHF LIGA PRO ELECTROSTAL OPEN 2021:

Ferrum – Kuznya 2:13

Belsk – Chetyre Ledokola 4:5

Chetyre Ledokola – Kuznya 2:4

Belsk – Ferrum 4:3

Ferrum – Chetyre Ledokola 4:3

Kuznya – Belsk 3:0

The Ledianye Voiny and Molotoboytsy are back in the tournament tomorrow, with a chance to move up a few places if they win. Plus, in the second half of the match day, all short hockey fans will see the continuation of the showdown between the Belarusian teams, and also the 3rd time at the tournament between the first and last team of the standings (Crystal and Ferrum) – the goal difference in head-to-head encounters is 17:5.
